I see that the latest version of WP 2.2.1. Can I just FTP all the appropriate WP files into the Xoops module folder in order to upgrade WP? Or do I have to wait for an Xpress upgrade? Thanks. Rick Is there a blog module that works with xoops version 2.0.16? I’ve tried about everything, but after I install it and try to go to the admin page of the module, I get a blank screen. If I then go back a page, and then click on modules, it shows up as installed. Yet nothing on it works. Is there ANY module that’ll work with this Xoops version??? THIS IS A PRACTICE Two XOOPS themes adopted: Theme blogger Theme westciv Your are NOT supposed to redistribute any of them. This is another test blog entry to deal with my blog displaying real names rather than display names. It turns out the problem is replicated on this blog. XPress 2.02 defaults to showing xoops ‘realname’ instead of ‘displayname’ or ‘username.’ It should default to show xoops ‘displayname.’ You can see that this is the case on this blog by checking my profile or trying it yourself. This problem was not present in xpress 1.5. This is a test blog. I’m still having problems with the upload function in xpress on 3 different sites on 2 different webhosts and decided to test it here to see if the same problem exists. As it turns out, the error is replicated on this site also. Regardless of whether you select “using original” or “using thumbnail,” when you send to editor, the code is for the thumbnail, as below. I uploaded this image and sent to editor using original. What we see is the thumbnail. Deleting the cache is a temporary solution as phpp discussed before, but I thought I would point out that the error exists on this site also.
PLease take a look. Thanks repman and other users, we now release the XPress 2.01 Fix1 mainly for user posting permission check: Just wanna see how this works Using xoops 2.2.3a I want our users to bea able to create XPress blog. Problem: Xoops users cannot access wordpress/wp-admin/post.php in order to create blog. Xoops / and or Wordpress module is_not creating / adding new user id and pass in DB. Instead they recive message when they try to reach wordpress/wp-admin/post.php they recieve message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” Did extensive reading to fix problem which led me to So from there I access MySQL and go to xoops_wp_usermeta and also xoops_wp_users. Find that only I and second admin are listed as WordPress Users! I have tried every setting / permission in Xoops admin an in WordPress module to no avail. The only way I was able to post a new blog as a reg users was to login from /wordpress/wp-login.php which redirects to and viola reg user can submit blog BUT blog shows up that ADMIN has posted it. Help please.
Happy Chinese New Year of Dog! Although this is my personal dev site, it is not a site solely for myself. Thanks for a user who cares the site I think, he sent a comment critizing that the site is full of junk info and not clear enough.
Anyone could help me make the site comfortable? Thank you. I am interested in this blog software and wanted to check it out. Anders Brownworth demonstrates an interesting new attack that
which is usually accomplished through not well filtered email address field. Anders also wrote an article for it. Some Xoops modules are vulnerable to this issue, including the former Official “contact” module, as well as other ones with “refer to a friend” function. Added on Sep 19th, 2005
Mid-Autumn Festival From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The Mid-Autumn Festival (Chinese: ???; simplified Chinese ???; pinyin: Zh?ngqi?jié; Vietnamese T?t Trung Thu ???; Korean: Ch’us?k or Chuseok ??/??; “Moon Festival” or “Mooncake Festival”) is a popular Chinese celebration of abundance and togetherness, dating back over 3,000 years to China’s Zhou Dynasty. The Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in Gregorian Calendar), a date that parallels the Autumn Equinox of the Western calendar. At this time, the moon is at its fullest and brightest, marking an ideal time to celebrate the abundance of the summer’s harvest, and reminding many of the lore of Chang E (Chinese: ??; pinyin: Cháng’é), the mythical Moon Goddess of Immortality. The traditional food of this festival is the moon cake, of which there are many different varieties. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Chinese calendar (the other being the Chinese Lunar New Year), and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this date. Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. Brightly lit lanterns are often carried around by children. Together with the celebration, there appear some special customs in different parts of the country, such as burning incense, planting Mid-Autumn trees, lighting lanterns on towers, and fire dragon dances. Shops selling mooncakes, before the festival, often display pictures of Chang E, floating to the moon.

This is a post for various testing purposes. sevak published a wonderful tool: Xoops 2.2 code documentation hosted by xoops.info, using phpxref. Following sevak, I created a XoopsChina-dedicated XOOPS REFERENCE based on XOOPS 2.2* upto Aug 25th, 2005, including XOOPS core and the module package released to Xoops China:
It does eat up a lot of space, surpringly. Dear all, Without asking for permission from you, there is a XForge link put on your blog page by default. The reason is I wish it would help collect people who have interest in BOTH WordPress and XOOPS to find XForge a good place to discuss WP and XOOPS. However, I do hope you could keep WP and XOOPS link on your blog page, proudly. Enjoy XPress ! SimpleTags, a simple but handy plugin that links WordPress with Technorati , will be packaged into WordPress for XOOPS release.
