XPress (WordPress for XOOPS) 2.04 is released

XPress @ dev.xoops.org

This release contains several important security fixes, so it's highly recommended for all users. We've also rolled in a number of bug fixes (over 50!), so it's a pretty solid release across the board.

    And where is the download package? Why couldn’t you give a link in this post? The organisation of this site is hard to look thru.

  2. Comment by metropolis:

    Oh, sorry… just found the link, but it could be a bit clearer (”download XPress”).

    Ah okay I get it. I was just going to ask where the download was too until I realized it is at http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?wordpress

    In Xpress 2.04, some OPTIONS are not being saved under Xoops > Wordpress > Options; not Wordpress or weblog URIs (neither user websites).

    I want to use /blog URLS instead of /modules/wordpress and I think I have to change the weblog URI… Is there any way to achieve this?

    Thanks

    Guys, the module is deleting 3 blocks after it updates. Posts With Content, Authors, and Recent Comments.
    I need those blocks, otherwise the module won’t do all that it can do.

    Can someone help? I’m not sure where to ask… I can’t seem to get wordpress themes to show up in xoops and just need to change the heading of the articles on http://www.caprotect.org. I’ve tried a bunch of things with no luck. We would really appreciate your help.

    Brighter: just copy the wp-css-clauses you need to your xoops-theme-css-file, and that should do it.

    Xoops still get the class/id-definitions of the CSS files, but since it doesn’t read the WordPress css-file (when you’re not displaying xoops in WordPress mode, of course) Xoops just ignores those class definitions.

    If you copy them over to the theme-css, you should be all right.

    My problem is - i think - that I may be suffering from a MySql 5-issue on a host that still runs a 4.x version.

    I get the dreaded:

    “WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘AND comment_approved = ‘1′’ at line 1]
    SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM xoops_wp_comments WHERE comment_post_ID = AND comment_approved = ‘1′;

    This happens on a Xoops 2.0.16 and a XPress 2.04 module, and it happens when I start the ‘recent posts titles’-block. When I remove it, WordPress hands over the blog articles just fine, but not when I activate the block.

    I have installed xpress in localhost for test on XOOPS.2.0.15.
    How can I create multiple blogs?
    The line on wp-config.php, like this…
    // Change the prefix if you want to have multiple blogs in a single database.

    global $table_prefix;

    $table_prefix = $GLOBALS[”xoopsDB”]->prefix(”wp”).’_';

    I changed “wp” for “xx”… and wordpress goes to INSTALL.PHP and made the new table.

    Is this the right way to install multiblogs? Changing the wp-config.php for each blog?

    Now, I can’t access the new blog (for that new table created as “xx” IN THE SAME DATABASE) - and XOOPS avoid to install the same module (wordpress) with diferent wp-config.php setup and a renamed directory for wordpress module.
    Is it correct?

    Can you help me? My problem is: how to give access to blogs from registered-members on my XOOPS Database? - > or for each blog it will be necessary do force users to register as member on that blog?
    Many tks for answers.

    Hi,

    I have installed the latest version of XPress. Could you tell me how to only show excerpts of the posts on the modules/wordpress/index.php page rather than full text? Thanks.
