Maybe it’s the template that XForge is using, but it seems that the whole about wiki is that it should look different from a content management system. The one is much more a publishing system; the other is a collaboration tool. Visual distinction, while neat in a CMS, may be distracting in a wiki.

Am I missing something here? Why would you want to integrate the wiki so deeply into the CMS? Why not have both on a site, each doing what they do best, with links from each to the other?

Can anyone enlighten me?

– Good question. Different ppl have different desiration. As for MediaWiki, there will be two options for webmasters/users: standalone wiki mode or XOOPS built-in mode. – by D.J.

Well,personally I like the Xoops CMS to take care of a universal login/pref, and awiki that plugs in to the user prefs, and notification systemof the CMS... my 2 cents

Thanks for the dokuWiki integration into xoops. This is going to be a very useful module for me. Do you know of an easy way to get the dokuwiki documents included in the search features of Xoops? I haven’t looked very deeply into the xoops code yet or the db structure so if you have any pointers they sure would be appreciated.
